Blackbutterfly Handcrafted Cards started out in early 2007 as a time consuming hobby, with results that appeared to be appreciated by friends & family alike.

As requests for my cards grew, and my interest in various forms of the craft increased, I began to see that maybe I could supply a larger number of customers  than I had at that time.

So late in 2007 my first website was set up, and blackbutterfly2007.co.uk was finally launched onto an unsuspecting world.

Our base is Southend-on-Sea, in Essex, a few minutes from our famous pier, and from our windows we can see the Esplanade…………and feel the cold winds off the Estuary in the winter too!

Last year, (2010) we launched our new look website, and I hope that old friends (and new) find it as interesting and exciting as we do. In 2011 a lot of the card stock on the site has been updated, hopefully making it a lot more exciting for our customers.

All our cards are handcrafted using the best cardstock, papers and embellishments we can find.

Our online shop sells a 'ready made' range.  This range can be personalised on request in most cases.
